Farnham Medical Centre has recently merged with 2 other local practices, Chichester Practice and Westoe Surgery. The newly formed surgery now has a list size of almost 18,000 patients serving residents of South Shields.
Farnham Medical Centre has a main site at 435 Stanhope Road, South Shields, Ne33 4QY (Tel 0191 4554 748) and a branch site at Stanhope Parade Health Centre, Gordon Street, South Shields, NE33 4JP (not contactable by telephone) which is less than a mile away.
The practice has 10 GPs and a nursing team consisting of 2 Nurse Practitioners, 3 Practice Nurses and 3 Healthcare Assistants as well as a large team of support staff.
Recent Telephone Access Difficulties
The practice recognises that there have been some issues regarding accessing the surgery by telephone since the merge and we are working hard to rectify this. We have employed more staff to answer the phones and we are working closely with BT Local Business to improve the system we have in operation. The GPs and all staff are most appreciative of your patience during this time of transition.
